DARN Family BiO

From the vintage land of Richmond, Virginia, Earnest Myron Willams (aka Drummie Zeb) was born, and from that rich land, he drummed his way around the world!  Drummie Zeb’s percussion career started with playing and touring with Tyron Thomas and The Whole Dang Family as well as Awareness Art Ensemble (AAE) Razor Posse.  It was at this point in his rising career and upon those many stages, his foundation was established for his journey into the genre of Reggae Music.  Throughout his Reggae music career, Drummie Zeb has worked with and played alongside some of the most talented musicians.  Eke a Mouse, Louie Rankin, Frankie Paul, Parliament Funkadelic, the original P, Zac Brown Band, Sugar Land, Lady A, Duane Stephenson, Marcia Griffitts, Gregory Isaacs, Lee Scratch Perry, 311, Kamani Marley, and last but not least, the legendary Bob Marley’s band, The Wailers, for 16 years – are just to name a few.

Reggae music flows through Drummie Zeb’s veins, but his love of ALL music led him to cross musical boundaries and record with the likes of Paul Simon and the famous "Is It Rolling Bob" with Bob Dylan.  After years of touring, recording, traveling the world and bringing the sounds of Reggae music to the masses, Drummie Zeb was introduced to country music.  It did not take him long to catch the eye and ear of some of the most famous Country musicians in the world, which led him to go on and accomplish working and touring with the 4-time and Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year, Kenny Chesney for 3 years, being a part of writing for what went on to be Kenny Chesney’s Platinum album, “When the Sun Goes Down”, and perform with The Wailers and Kenny on the CMA Award Stage.

Drummie Zeb is currently recording and touring with I&I Rasta Country Band.  Drummie Zeb's success is long-standing and for years, has been embraced by numerous sponsors and musicians.  He continues to display his everlasting talent and ability to enhance his musical delivery on the Sonor Drums, the Vader drumsticks, the Viper drums, the Pastie Cymbals and/or the Eco Science Solutions/Herbo.
